Nigeria is rated the best in the world para powerlifting 

Many people say Nigeria can never be the best at anything just because they didn't make it out of the group stage during world cup. Here is something we all need to be proud of, Para Powerlifting.

This was unveiled in a confirmation statement addressed to the President of Nigeria Para Powerlifting Federation, Queen Uboh.

The statement read, “World Para Powerlifting would like to thank the Nigeria Paralympic Committee and the Nigeria Para Powerlifting Federation for their application to host the Nigeria 2019 International Para Powerlifting Competition from 28 – 30 January 2019 at the Lagos Oriental Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria.

“On behalf of the World Para Powerlifting, I am writing to confirm the approval of your competition application. World Para Powerlifting looks forward to working with you to finalise all the details and requirements as outlined in the application to host a very successful competition to heighten the success of Para Powerlifting in Nigeria and to further support the development of the sport across the region.”

It has been confirmed that Nigeria will host the tournament from January 28, 2019.
